Overview
CEA offers two inclusive programs in Mexico to help you learn the language and culture: "Intensive Spanish Language" (Trimester) and "Spanish Language & Mexican Culture" (Semester)

The Intensive Spanish Language Program at the University of Guadalajara is designed for students of all language levels who are dedicated to acquiring and improving their language skills. Your language courses will focus on oral comprehension and expression, listening comprehension and grammar components appropriate to your language level. Each trimester consists of two 5-week blocks. You will take two language courses during each 5-week block. You will be tested at the end of each block and may move up into higher levels during the program duration. This structure combined with your immersion experience in Guadalajara provides you the opportunity to advance your language skills at an accelerated pace, as well as gain insight into the Spanish culture. You may chose to substitute one Spanish course per five block from a list of several electives in a variety of subject areas including Mexican culture, political science, and art history. Please note that electives are open to students at the advanced language level.

The Spanish Language & Mexican Culture program at the University of Guadalajara is designed for students of all language levels who are interested learning about the Mexican culture while improving their Spanish language skills. Language courses are taught in 5-week blocks. Each semester consists of three 5-week blocks. You will be tested at the end of each block and may move into higher language levels during your program duration. During the first 5-week block you will also take a Mexican culture elective. During the second and third 5-week blocks you may choose two electives from a variety of courses offered. Electives are taught in both English and Spanish and run the length of the entire semester.
