On our 4 week Summer Exploration High School Program you’ll live with a host family, attend language classes in the morning, enjoy activities in the afternoon, and explore Costa Rica through fun weekend excursions like white water rafting, ropes tours, overnights in rustic bungalows and more!. No previous language experience is required but a sense of adventure is. Costa Rica is an ecological treasure and boasts some of the most diverse habitats on the planet from spectacular sandy beaches to exotic rainforests. Enjoy weekend adventure excursions to Manuel Antonio National Park, Arenal Volcano and Tortuga Island. Discover why Costa Rica is an amazing study abroad destination. Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Academic credit is available. With careful planning, almost all students are able to participate on any High School Study Abroad program and complete the credits needed to graduate from their American high school. Academics are a vital component of Academic Year and Semester programs; students are enrolled in a full course schedule at a local upper level high school and are expected to participate fully in their classes. Eligibility *No language requirement. *15-18 years old. *Motivated students with a 2.5 GPA or higher on a 4 point scale. *Mature, flexible, open-minded, and able to adapt to living with a host family. *Eager for the academic challenge of studying in a foreign school. *US Citizen/Resident- living in the US. Financial Aid Yes. Yes. Intrax Study Abroad offers several High School scholarships with the support of our partners. We also encourage students to help pay for their Study Abroad program by fundraising a portion of their program fees. Youth Leader Scholarship Awards of $200 to $1,000 are granted to high school study abroad applicants on the basis of academic merit, extracurricular involvement and financial need. Preference will be given to students who are involved in community service and have demonstrated their commitment to studying abroad by raising funds to help cover their high school study abroad program fees.
