On our 4 week Summer Exploration High School Program you’ll live with a host family, attend language classes in the morning, participate in community service activities in the afternoon, and explore Mexico through fun weekend excursions. No previous language experience is required. Immerse yourself in Spanish language and Mexican culture and history. Explore local markets visit the Mixtec ruins of Monte Alban, discover the amazing beaches of Puerto Escondido and make a difference through community service activities in the local towns. Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Academic credit is available. With careful planning, almost all students are able to participate on any High School Study Abroad program and complete the credits needed to graduate from their American high school. Academics are a vital component of Academic Year and Semester programs; students are enrolled in a full course schedule at a local upper level high school and are expected to participate fully in their classes. Eligibility * High School Program. *No language requirement. *15-18 years old. *Motivated students with a 2.5 GPA or higher on a 4 point scale. *Mature, flexible, open-minded, and able to adapt to living with a host family. *Eager for the academic challenge of studying in a foreign school. *US Citizen/Resident- living in the US. Financial Aid Yes. Yes. Intrax Study Abroad offers several High School scholarships with the support of our partners. We also encourage students to help pay for their Study Abroad program by fundraising a portion of their program fees. Youth Leader Scholarship Awards of $200 to $1,000 are granted to high school study abroad applicants on the basis of academic merit, extracurricular involvement and financial need. Preference will be given to students who are involved in community service and have demonstrated their commitment to studying abroad by raising funds to help cover their high school study abroad program fees.
