Rotate in different clinical settings while immersing your self in the host culture. Gain an excellent comprehensive view of health care in developing nations. Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Academic credit can be arranged with the cooperation of your university or school. After you are accepted, you may request an “elective letter” to be sent to you or your advisor with information about how you will be evaluated and basic roles and responsibilities of CFHI participants. Each program site has a Medical Director who will complete any on-site evaluation forms. Eligibility This program is open to participants who are 21 or over at the time of participation. We accept students of all nationalities with interest in international health and relevant educational background. Housing/Accommodation • Homestay / Host Family Program Costs $1850 to $1945 for 4 weeks Costs Include:  * Pre-departure and on-site orientation materials and guidance * Two meals and a private room with a homestay family for the program’s duration (Saturday – Saturday). * International Emergency Medical and Medical Evacuation Insurance * Airport pick up on arrival * Twenty hours of Spanish classes. * All preceptor, hospital and coordinator fees * Weekly meetings with coordinator and Medical Director * A limited number of extra activities such as salsa classes, cooking classes organized at the language school etc. Financial Aid Yes. Child Family Health International (CFHI) is offering half and full scholarships during 2007. Scholarships are to be used toward the program fees for a CFHI programs. Scholarships to these programs are available during the following months only: February, March, April, May, September, October and November of 2007. Dates Programs run every month of the year.
