Overview
You are invited to learn English at our family operated guest ranch in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. Eagle Lake Ranch is an authentic Canadian ranch preserved in time and culture located in the beautiful mountains on west coast of British Columbia. This western frontier known as the Chilcotin, is rich with Canadian traditions. A trip back in time to vast cattle ranches, the excitement of a cattle drive, small little school houses, snow capped mountains, remote and beautiful lakes.
We want to share our Canadian culture and our unspoiled wilderness for your full educational experience.
Our goal is to emphasize what is important to you; family; friends; fresh air; beautiful scenery; active and healthy lifestyle. You can learn to speak English on a fun and exciting adventure in Canada .
We cater to single individuals, families and groups
If you would like to participate in the working of a Canadian cattle ranch, you can join us by driving the tractor, riding the horses out to look for the cattle, throwing a few hay bails, or baking some bread on the wood stove. Also during this wilderness experience you will be exploring the beaches of British Columbia's pristine lakes and hiking in the mountains. You will see lots of deer, the occasional moose or bear, as we search for BC 's very rare Wild Horses. Lots of laughing and telling stories around the kitchen table while enjoying a home cooked meal.
We invite you to this cultural experience, a holiday and an opportunity to feed your sense of adventure with total immersion in the English Language for quick and optimum learning.

We would be very happy to have you joinin us for a few weeks! We have 10 year old twins, Hanna and Reece and a 15 year old so..
You stay in our guest lodge, across the yard from our home. It is a beautiful log home with a floor to ceiling fireplace. You will have cozy beds and 2 full bathrooms. All of your meals are with us in our home.
If you would like horse riding lessons, this is included. As well as lots of fun at the lake canoeing and exploring sandy beaches in our jet boat. As you can see by the website, Eagle Lake is a pristine beauty. Clay can show you all about ranching, making hydro power and driving heavy equipment. We have many different horses for all riding skills. Punching cattle is a Canadian traditional ranching activity. Do you like riding?? We also take field trips into our unique and beautiful community.
You will have tons of time to do whatever you like. Listen to the Loons and watch the sun set by the beach or in the canoe. And when the stars come out, you can see everyone of them.
Of course every day, all day is total English emersion. What I do for lessons is usually journaling (diary), this way I can accommodate different English levels. The lessons are usually 2 hours, 5 days per week, we've had allot of enthusiastic response from various guests!
To get to our ranch you fly into Vancouver, catch a connecting flight to Anahim Lake, http://www.flycma.com/, We meet you at the Anahim Lake Airport and bring you back to the ranch to a nice warm meal and comfortable beds.
