Overview
Whatever your age, from Gap Year Student to Retiree, taking part in a Sports Coaching placement will be a hugely rewarding learning curve and an eye-opening experience for you.
Volunteer Sport Coaches are in great demand in the countries we work in. They help create an opportunity for children to learn new and exciting sports and help educate the teachers in terms of coaching sports. In some parts of the world we work in many children don't have the opportunity to play competitive sport to enable children to play competitive sports we organise our own tournaments on your placement. As a Travellers Sports Volunteer we also provide you with free coaching manuals for your sport.
Our sports programmes are not just for guys, so ladies, if you'd like to coach and play sports abroad, there are plenty of opportunities to do so on a Travellers sports project.
We work with a number of well established and professional sporting clubs and organisations such as the New Zealand Cricket Players Association and Racing Football Club, one of the top sides in Argentinean Football.
Each placement is different. You can coach local children in Brazil in a dirt playground, or you can work with a UEFA champions league winner in Ghana, or even coach and play with Olympians in Australia - there really is something for everyone.
If you are a an elite sports man/woman you can train and play in semi professional teams and train with elite athletes or if you are just a social player we have links with a huge number of sporting teams.
Eligibility
No prior coaching experience necessary. Our projects are open to everyone 17 years of age or older.

All Housing is included in the cost. All accommodation is approved by Head Office staff for security, comfort and cleanliness.
Program Costs
Costs vary by Country and length of program. Our prices start at $1,400.00 USD.
Costs
Include: Full support from the moment of booking and throughout your placement to your return home. There are support staff in every destination and a 24 hour emergency international telephone line direct to the Head Office. All food (3 meals a day plus drinks and snacks) are provided. Accommodation is provided (whether a rented house, a hotel/hostel, homestay, apartment or flat). All in country travel is provided for the placement. You will also be met from the airport on your arrival by our in-country manager who will take you to your accommodation and give you a full induction into the area. This manager will also be on call 24 hours a day and you will see them frequently. Pre-departure you will receive comprehensive information about every aspect of your placement and necessary preparations from what to pack, to visa information, to what to do on your weekend travel in the country. Your safety, well being and happiness throughout your placement are our primary concerns and we will keep in touch with you throughout. International flight not included.

Dates
Our placements run from as little as 2-weeks to as long as 1-year. You can coach as a full time placement, or alongside teaching another subject.
We have a huge variety of sports you can coach in many different countries. Remember, you choose your dates and length of program!
