To assist students in quickly and efficiently establishing a firm foundation Spanish, Ave Nicaraguita immersion programs help students to communicate effectively and introduce them to Nicaraguan social and cultural life. The school has two language centers in Granada and in Mastepe. Through partnership with local schools, Ave Nicaraguita operates programs in Leon, Esteli and San Juan del Sur. For volunteers, Ave Nicaraguita provides them with the possibility of observing and participating in the everyday survival tasks of our local communities. In addition, Ave Nicaraguita facilitates the search of opportunities to collaborate directly with local agencies –both private and public- or with community movements to exchange craft practices, as well as professional ones. For its students, Ave Nicaraguita offers a variety of extra services, such as, Accommodation with Family, Hostel or Hotel; Visits to Communities and Projects; Volunteering Opportunities with or without Accreditation; Tourist Information and Transportation; Spanish Practice in Various Contexts; Private Spanish Lessons; Survival Spanish and other Ad-hoc Courses; Intensive Immersion & Regular Courses with Accreditation of Hours. Ave Nicaraguita is good for students interested in learning Spanish and helping. Special Courses or Features Spanish for Academic Purposes Spanish for Business Purposes Spanish Immersion Program (40+ hrs/wk) One-to-One / Private Lessons Volunteer Program Opportunities Activities Available Art or Painting Cooking & Culinary Dance Eligibility Generally, only adults are accepted and children with their parents Housing/Accommodation • Dormitory • Homestay / Host Family • Apartment / Flat • Hostel For hotel accommodation, it is advised to register at least 8 weeks before the intended first day of the program, otherwise 2 weeks anticipation will be all right. Program Costs $295 per week (minimum two weeks) + $50 registration One week the program takes place at the city and the other week at the ecological farm. Costs Include:  - 35/25 hours of Spanish lessons per week ((the 35 hours lessons in Granada “OR” 25 hours at the farm) - 1 week accommodation at the school guesthouse or the hostel at the farm, - 3 main meals daily + - Drinkable water - Transportation to practice sites and between schools. - Materials and the fee for placement tests - Internet access and free local calls. Dates Because Ave Nicaraguita offers continuous instruction, students can register any time to begin the program of their choice on the date they indicate. There is always flexibility in timetable for weekdays and weekends. Generally, new courses start every other Monday.
