Overview
“Kerala Village Homestay” is one of the best sought-out homestay of Kerala by students and tourists, which is set in an agricultural village, though not far from the city. The homestay is just 15-20 minutes drive from Cochin international Airport. “Kerala Village homestay” has 4 large, spacious double ensuite rooms, clean Dining Hall; well-furnished Living Room; Common hall; Office Room with Computer having 24X7 internet facilities, fax and telephone, neatly maintained Kitchen; 2 Sit-outs and Balcony from where all guests can view the beauty of the village.

“Kerala Village Homestay” provides homestay services at a reasonable fee to all college students and research scholars from across the world. The host is a lady who is highly educated, having completed M.Phil and PhD from the leading University in India and done some higher studies from foreign University. She is also a freelance writer in English offering her writing services abroad. She helps students from across the world in their study programs and inter-cultural programs. The host herself being a researcher also provides her services for any of the research activities for students.

Students could choose to learn the language of Kerala—which is ‘Malayalam’ or Hindi, which is the national language of India. Both these languages could be taught by the host who is well-versed in both these languages, or would arrange for learning at language institutions. Students could also have a broad range of activities by mingling with the people in the village by getting to know about Kerala culture and people. Students could join in for Yoga or Reiki class to relax the body and mind. Students could also join in for Ayurveda massage to rejuvenate body and mind. The “Kerala Village Homestay” also could also arrange tour packages according to student’s interests. The famous Cherai beach is just 10 kms and the Varapuzha River is just 2 kms from our Kerala homestay. The famous cultural heritage Zone of Fort Kochi/ Fort Cochin and Mattancherry is just ¾-1 hour drive from our Kerala homestay. The backwaters of Alleppey and Kumarakom are just 2 hours drive from the Kerala homestay. The trip would help the students and research scholars to enjoy the benefits of learning / research along with spending their vacations in Kerala. Delicious Kerala style breakfast, lunch and dinner would be provided to students who stay at the homestay. Laundry service is also available.

If our Kerala homestay rooms are filled up, students still choose to be our non-resident guests. We arrange accommodation at a nearby hotel or another place of stay according to your budget. And during the whole day from morning to night, you could stay at our home stay, by spending time in the coconut plantations, walking around the village, making a walk down to the river. Breakfast, lunch and dinner would be served to you. We could arrange special language classes for you in Malayalam and Hindi. Classes on Ayurveda, Yoga, Reiki, Cooking, Dance forms etc could be arranged according to the interests of each of our student guests. We also arrange for your study tours and any guidance for your study program and research acitivities will be helped out since the host is well experienced in this field.

Program Costs
The basic costs of the program start from US$35 per day for double occupancy rooms. According to the needs of the students and the stay programs, we chart out special custom-made packages for students.

Costs Include:  Breakfast will be provided free of cost. Lunch, dinner and snacks will be provided on request.
