Program Participants • Adults		Quick Look • Location: Patong Beach, Phuket - Thailand • Language Taught: English • Program Size: 12 • Average Class Size: 5-10 Overview The adventureTEFL is our volunteer teaching program which places teachers with Thai families in rural villages Volunteering is part work, part holiday and an altogether different travel experience. Experience firsthand more than the average tourist or backpacker ever sees. You will return home with a new perspective, lasting memories, and many new friends. Learn about Third World issues and become cross-culturally aware, a valuable skill to add to your resume in this time of globalisation. Our aim with adventureTEFL is to provide an experience unlike any other available in South East Asia. Living with a Thai family in their home, dining with them, getting to know the community, is true cultural immersion. A member of the family you stay with will be a teacher in a local school, and you will work with them daily teaching English to schoolchildren. If you have a passion to work with children in Thailand and want to see your efforts make a real difference, then this is the perfect volunteer program for you. Our volunteers come from many different parts of the world, and from very different backgrounds. (minimum age limit = 21) Housing/Accommodation • Homestay / Host Family • Hostel accommodation during training is in our hotel accommodation during volunteering is homestay with a Thai teacher's family Program Costs The cost of the adventureTEFL course is 55,000 Baht. This includes the introTEFL course with accommodation, followed by one month volunteering.
