Overview
Morocco is a gateway to the Arab world, Africa and beyond. A meeting point for civilizations and continents, contemporary Morocco is a unique mixture of Middle Eastern, European, and African cultures. Here, visitors have the opportunity to experience life in a Muslim country while exploring the distinct society and traditions of the Maghreb. With its unique history, vibrant culture, and striking topography, Morocco offers rich ground for American students, and others to pursue their interest in Islamic culture and religion, Arabic and French language, Africa, the Arab world, socioeconomic development, or French colonial history.
