The IFX places each player with a foreign host family, at a local high school, and with a competitive youth foreign soccer club to compete as a fully registered member of the team for either a semester or year-long duration. Past program participants have enjoyed tremendous growth in both soccer and life, through this very unique cultural experience. Unlike soccer boarding schools, international soccer camps, and soccer academies, the IFX enables learning through foreign peers both on and off the field. Because players are typically one of the only foreign players on the team, they experience enhanced immersion in the foreign game, and greater likelihood of establishing long-lasting friendships with foreign students.v Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  It is really dependent upon the cooperation of the US high school. Housing/Accommodation • Homestay / Host Family Program Costs Academic Year: $13,250 Semester: $12,150 Costs Include:  Round-trip airfare from a major international airport near your home (in the continental U.S.) including domestic and international flights Airport transfers on arrival and departure Homestay accommodation including meals with your host family Placement in a local high school Placement with a local competitive soccer club Management of international soccer transfer Procurement of National Association player pass Post-program support for college recruitment process including letters of recommendation Weekly soccer training Participation in all soccer club tournaments, league matches, training camps, training sessions, etc. Soccer league fees, travel expenses, & club gear (shoes not included). Ongoing support of soccer program aspect Assistance with student visa application process Student health and accident insurance 24-hour emergency assistance Pre-departure orientations Supervision, guidance, and support during the application process and throughout the program FARA T-Shirt Student Handbook Financial Aid Yes. Up to $1000 in financial aid can be providing for qualified students through our parnter programs.
