AustraLearn will facilitate your enrollment at James Cook University for one or two semesters of study abroad or for those interested in earning a bachelor's or master's degree. JCU is Australia's first tropical university and is internationally-known in areas of geographical relevance and in environmental, ecological and biological research. The main campuses of JCU of North Queensland are located in Townsville and Cairns, both attractive tropical coastal cities with multicultural populations of more the 100,000. Both campuses offer a safe and friendly environment for study and socializing. JCU's undergraduate science program in marine Biology/Marine Science comprises a diverse range of individual subjects and a number of majors. All teaching draws on JCU's close proximity to the Great Barrier Reef; the world's most extensive coral reef system. Environmental Science programs are available on both campuses. Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Credit will be awarded by the university abroad, check with your home institution to ensure credits will transfer. Eligibility Must be currently enrolled in a US or Canadian University, have a 2.5 GPA. Housing/Accommodation • Dormitory • Apartment / Flat Guaranteed pre-arranged housing. Program Costs Cost varies by university. Costs Include:  Cost includes tuition, fees, 4 day program introduction in Cairns, Queensland, Health insurance. Financial Aid Yes. Financial Aid can be arranged through home university, scholarships available through AustraLearn. Dates Academic Year runs from February to November with the first semester running from February - June, second semester from July - November.
