Overview
AsiaLearn offers a semester abroad at University of Hong Kong. Hong Kong is clearly an economic force in Asia and now the world. Hundreds of global companies do business in this massive city and its interesting mix of Eastern and Western influences will keep you entertained for ages. Hong Kong is the gateway to mainland China, which is inarguably one of the most fascinating countries in the world. Although a bustling metropolis, 40 percent of Hong Kong's land mass is reserved as parks and nature perserves.
The University of Hong Kong is the oldest and most prestigious university in Hong Kong. All courses are taught in English, and subjects are available in nearly every academic area including architecture, art, business, education, law, science, social science, and health science. Chinese language, history, and culture classes are also readily available.
Study abroad students will be assigned to a local student who they can correspond with prior to departure for Hong Kong. Your buddy will meet you upon arrival at the airport, assist you with settling into student residence and offer advice and support to you during your stay.
Each semester students are invited to participate in a variety of optional affordable excursions organized by the AsiaLearn Resident Coordinator. Each activity is designed to be fun and educational so that students gain a deeper appreciation for the arts, culture, and history of Hong Kong.
All AsiaLearn semester/year abroad programs include an in-country Program Introduction, 24-hour on-site support services through a Resident Coordinator, survival language instruction, optional travel excursions, and comprehensive services before, during, and after your semester.
