Overview
The Florence Institute is an international school of Italian design with an academic program of Interior Design in Florence Italy. We focus on today's international students with all classes taught in the English language. Our staff has a respected reputation for dynamic teaching methods, motivating course material and interactive learning.

Located in the center of Florence, Italy, our school is an ideal place to study abroad while surrounded by fine Italian design. As a private Italian institution, quality education is provided as a result of professional staff, excellent resources and personalized instruction. The Institute’s philosophy is to provide a quality facility offering the highest level of education, and resources.

The Florence Institute's courses teach the foundation of Italian design by combining modern technologies with Italy’s imaginative culture. By combining tradition, theory and technology the program gives a detailed understanding of the Italian creative process. The latest design software is instructed and applied to challenging assignments that encourage creative thinking. Each student’s curriculum also has lessons in the Italian language.

Eligibility
Academic Level: Requirements for all students applying to the Florence Institute of Design Intl : 1. Students should be at least 18 years of age 2. Students needs a high school diploma, or equivalent G.E.D. 3. Students need submit most recent transcript ( high school or university ) with their application. Master Level Requirements: Acceptance for master courses depends on the student’s prior level of experience. Master level courses are challenging and students will need adapt experience for admission. It is required that the student possesses a degree in a compatible design major for acceptance. Students also possessing a different degree but has working experience in a design field may also apply.

Financial Aid
Yes. FINANCIAL AID The Florence Institute awards financial aid in the form of grants based on need to qualified applicants. The amount of financial aid grants awarded each semester varies with a minimum of 10% of the students receiving grants. Apply early to improve your chances of receiving financial aid. To be considered for a grant you must: 1) Be qualified for one of the Institute's programs as per the admissions page. 2) Submit either: a) a portfolio or b) an essay: a. Portfolios should include 3 projects (renderings, drawings, arte, or models) b. Instead of a portfolio, academic students can submit a 150 word essay explaining “Why I wish to study design in Florence” Requirements for Financial Aid In order to avoid a reduction in their financial aid award, during the academic year, students are required to carry a “B” average in all classes.
