Overview
 Immerse yourself . . .
Our school is an oasis within the city of Rabat. Located in the up scale neighborhood of Souissi, it is a 10 minute ride by taxi to the center of the city and the Medina.
Housed in a spacious (4,000 sq ft) facility and enclosed within it's own tranquil garden, our school is an ideal place to learn and also offers our students plenty of space for quiet study or reflection, away from the every day hustle and bustle of city life in Morocco.
The school building combines new architectural style with old. Each room offers a different feeling with moroccan mosaics decorating the walls or ceilings, off setting the new hardwood floors and carpets. The school offers AC throughout.
Wireless internet signals run throughout the building and the library and computer lab also give students access to computers and the internet.
The school garden is the perfect place to relax between or after classes and our students really enjoy this tranquil oasis. The garden offers several social area's with water, fountains, beautiful flowers and fruit trees including hydrangeas, roses, Oleander, orange trees, Jacarinda, Avocado, Pomegranate and even a banana tree.
Our school also has on campus housing available to students. We have 5 comfortable double occupancy furnished apartments which we let out to students on a first come, first serve basis.

The center has established a partnership with Brookhaven College in Dallas, Texas. Brookhaven has accredited two beginning and two intermediate courses in Arabic at Qalam.

Our semi-intensive tuition includes:
4 lessons per day, 5 days per week
2 afternoon activities per week
all registration and administrative fees
comprehensive support and assistance from friendly and attentive staff members
course materials on loan
Students may opt for an intensive add-on which provides another 2 lesson per day.
We offer several different tuition packages which include housing accomodations. Students may choose to stay on campus, with host families, or in off campus apartments.

Comfort apartment: accomodations on campus, breakfast and lunch 5 days per week, and basic maid service (3x per week). Comfort apartments are climate controlled. And include access to community computers, ADSL and wireless internet. Laundry service is available at school for a small fee.
Standard apartment: accomdations off campus. Lunch included at school Monday through Friday.
Home stays: includes course tuition, accomodations with a Moroccan host family. Breakfast and dinner are provided by the host family. Lunch provided at school Monday-Friday.

Course Schedules
We offer beginning, intermediate and advanced courses continuously throughout the year. There are several start dates offered each month and students may choose to stay on and continue studying as long as their schedules permit. Classes meet 5 days per week for 4 lessons each day.
Student level will be determined via placement tests administered before arrival as well as oral re-assesments the first day of class. Private courses are also available to suit individual schedules and study needs.

The school will be closed on following public holidays: 01/01, 01/11, 05/01, 07/30, 08/14, 08/20, 08/21, 11/06, 11/18, 12/08, 12/15/08
When the school has closed due to a holiday, lessons will be made up. If your Monday start date falls on a public holiday, your course will start on the following day.
Course week and holidays:
A course week is from Sunday to Saturday. Please plan to arrive on the Sunday before your Monday start date and depart on the Saturday.
