Program Terms • Summer • Winter Intersession		Quick Look • Location: The North Island of New Zealand - New Zealand • Host Institution: Global Discovery Institute • Language of Instruction: English Overview This AustraLearn short course emphasizes leadership, personal development, and team building. Students already practicing leadership skills and those who might not otherwise see themselves as leaders or as team players will both realize their ability to develop in these areas. You will also come away with a sense of accomplishment and pride after your experience. The Outdoor Pursuits portion of the program encourages students to bond together, trust one another, and learn how to work as a team. This program takes place in the pristine, breathtaking scenery of New Zealand’s North Island. There is a five-day outdoor recreation component which provides immersion into New Zealand’s natural beauty while building leadership expertise through experiential education. This course is available as a stand-alone course or as an add on to a semester or year abroad in Australia, New Zealand, or Fiji. Eligibility Applicants must have the required GPA and have completed at least the equivalent of one year of full-time study at the university/college level. Freshmen considered on a case by case basis. The program is open to students of all majors and interests. Required GPA: 2.50 Housing/Accommodation • Hostel Program Costs Fees are competitively low. Costs Include:  Fee Includest ransport throughout the North Island program from Auckland to Wellington . Accommodation, most meals, excursions, all outdoor pursuits activities and field trips. International airfare into Auckland and out of Wellington NOT included but can be programmed as an add-on cost for students already studying abroad for a semester.
