Overview
Academia de Español D'Amore is high quality educational institution created to facilitate the learning of Spanish under the whole language immersion modality of learning. It offers six specific levels of Spanish proficiency to guarantee the students an appropriate placement. Our students range from absolute beginners to advanced speakers of the language. The student body is typically comprised of professors, medical professionals, business leaders and students from over 35 countries. Most students participate in the month program and live with a Costa Rican family to enhance their linguistic and cultural experience. Shorter programs (2-3 weeks) are also available, as well as university credits.

Academic credit is available.
Students are eligible to receive academic transfer credit through an accredited U.S. Universisty by having our courses pre-approved by their institution. Students are normally eligible to earn academic credits while studying abroad. Credit for any courses taken Academia de Español D’Amore can usually be counted towards degree or towards graduation requirements.
Two important factors influence whether students will receive academic credits:
• Approval of courses by the home institution
• Academic performance while abroad
The assessment of the courses and the quality of the performance are handled by the University through a process called Transfer Credit. This process involves students working closely with their study abroad advisor or faculty on campus early in their study abroad planning all the way through to their return from the program.
Eligibility
Students will need to make an oral proficiency interview to determine their Spanish level, first day of classes at 8:30 am. School determineds their schedule and minimum age school accept is 18 years old.

Costs
Include: It includes all printed materials, books design by the school, 20 hours of classes, one English class hour a week, homestay (dinner, breakfast, service laundry).

To assure the highest quality education it is suggested that the students accommodate their travel plans to begin the school on the following Mondays:

Students that enroll on other Mondays will be placed in an existing class.
Deadlines
Remaining balance of tuition must be paid the first Monday of course at 9:00 AM -*- Payment is non-refundable nor transferable once classes begin
