Overview
Working in an English speaking environment is an excellent way to improve communication skills and develop fluency in the English language. A paid job in Ireland is also an ideal way of integrating into Irish life as well as financing day-to-day expenses whilst enjoying the friendliness and hospitality of the Irish people. Participants must attend an interview and commit themselves to a minimum period of 12 weeks’ job.
Work only option: This program is designed for mature University students who are independent and enjoy using their own initiative. Optional English evening language classes are available.
Job placement:
Paid jobs in Ireland are offered in the service industry, i.e. restaurants, supermarkets, telecommunication companies and shops.
Work conditions:
Full time work is understood to be a working week of between 30-40 hours and part-time work is understood to be a working week of between 15-25 hours. The average gross pay for a participant is between 7,50 euros and 8,50 euros per hour. The timetable and conditions of employment is to be agreed upon at the time of interview between the employer and the employee.

Eligibility
Applicants to a paid job in Ireland need to have:
- at least an intermediate level of English on arrival
- some previous work experience.
