Overview
 English Teachers in Okinawa (ETIO) is working together with the Okinawa Development International Council (ODIC) to provide this Japanese study abroad program. It is the only program in Japan that combines Japanese language study, internship, & sightseeing all in one.
Normally this is a four week program but we can also tailor this program to individuals and groups (inquire for group rates) - from 2 weeks to one year. You can start studying Japanese, interning and sightseeing with us right away as our programs start every month.
Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.
Option 1: Four credits for language
Option 2: Four credits for language & two credits for part-time internship
Option 3: Four credits for full-time internship
Eligibility
You need a basic knowledge of Japanese to take part in our program.
We do not have any quotas. As long as you have basic knowledge of Japanese, you will be accepted into our program.

A private room in a furnished apartment for 4 weeks.
Program Costs
MUCH cheaper than similar programs on the mainland of Japan! Our one month program costs between $2,500 to $3,000 (depending on which program you pick).

Option 1: Language only $2,500
$1,000 – Japanese lessons & books
$1,000 – Housing & food (lunch Monday to Friday – there is a fully functional kitchen where you can make breakfast & dinner.)
$250 – Field trips (transportation, entrance fees, & guide)
$250 – Administration fee, coordination fee, registration fee/application fee, airport pick up/drop off, transportation for cultural activities/events, cell phone, etc.
Option 2: Language & part-time internship $3,000
$1,000 – Japanese lessons & books
$1,000 – Housing & food (lunch Monday to Friday – there is a fully functional kitchen where you can make breakfast & dinner.)
$500 – Internship & transportation
$250 – Field trips (transportation, entrance fees, & guide)

Option 3: Full-time internship $2,500
$1,000 - Internship & transportation

You can join our program at the beginning of every month but you join the class where they are - the class does not start from the beginning every month.
