Overview
AIFS Summer Study Abroad in San José offers students the opportunity to earn up to 8 college semester credits at Veritas University. Spend a summer in Costa Rica and visit Manuel Antonio National Park, Arenal Volcano, Baldi Hot Springs and Monteverde Cloud Forest. Study Spanish Language, Environmental Studies in English and Latin American Literature in Spanish. No previous language study required. Apply early to guarantee your spot. Scholarships are available.

Students may earn up to 8 college semester credits. Transcripts are issued by Veritas University.
Eligibility
Open to college sophomores, juniors and seniors. Minimum GPA of 2.5 required.
Housing/Accommodation

Homestay / Host Family
Students will be housed with families located close to campus. Most are within walking distance, the furthest are located no more than a 10-minute bus ride away. Each student will have a single bedroom. Breakfast and dinner are provided daily by the family.
Program Costs
The base fee for this program is $4,795. This includes tuition, housing, breakfast and dinner daily, cultural activities, a 3-day excursion to Manuel Antonio National Park, and a 3-day excursion to Arenal Volcano, Baldi Hot Springs and Monteverde Cloud Fores. An optional AIFS Transportation Package, including international flights and transfers to/from campus is available. Scholarships are available. See website for details.
