Backed by fifteen years of experience in running educational programs abroad, ATC combines the finest elements of experiential learning, traditional classroom learning, and service learning with international travel and cultural exchange to provide extraordinary expeditions and study abroad opportunities. Students can earn up to 3 credits in marine science through an experiential course which combines collecting data, learning about general marine biology, fish behavior, marine conservation efforts and future prospects. Students will live aboard a 50ft catamaran yacht for 4 weeks, sailing around the leeward Caribbean Islands whilst training for your PADI Advanced Diving certificate, and carrying out REEF surveys, data collection for various marine parks and carrying out marine service projects. Under the guidance of marine biologists, learn everything from oceanography to marine ecology and animal behavior. Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  ATC courses are accredited through Lesley University. Students receive 3 Marine Science credits through participation in this course. Students can also obtain 1 Physical Education credit through PADI and the American Council on Education. Eligibility Minimum age: 18, GPA Range: 2.50, 1 year of high school biology or 1 semester of college biology Financial Aid Yes. We award financial aid through the Broadreach Foundation. Applications are due in April and the first round of scholarships are extended in early May. Typically we offer a couple of partial scholarships and occasionally we offer a full tuition scholarship based on available funds in the Broadreach Foundation.
