Overview
A friendly and hospitable country, Ireland has a very special welcome for visitors from North America, with whom it has a tradition of strong links. Every year the Irish experience is spoken of with enthusiasm by a growing number of North American and other overseas students. Some come because of their Irish descent and their interest in learning more about the history and culture of their forbears. Others come for an introduction to European politics, economics and society and to bring a European dimension to their studies. All comment on the ease with which they settle into student life in Ireland, the friendliness of the people, the physical beauty of the country, the vibrant social and cultural life and the opportunity studying in Ireland offers for both academic and personal growth.
IBat is an independent college located beside the thriving, cosmopolitan city of Dublin in Ireland. The college currently has students from every continent in the world, creating a unique and enriching multicultural and educational experience.
IBaT delivers high quality, internationally-recognised courses for international students - including Business Degree programmes, professional Accountancy qualifications (ACCA) and Certificate courses in E-Business, Business English etc. These internationally recognised qualifications are awarded by HETAC and FETAC and are the equivalent to a university qualification. As an independently run college, our fees are much more competitive than many of the University-run programs.
Other benefits to studying at IBat include our student mentoring service, the online student networking system and an intimate and interactive classroom style - ensuring each student gets the attention they require. Our lecturers are carefully chosen, not only for their academic achievements, but also for their extensive work experience, which allows them to impart practical knowledge and prepare students for their chosen career. Don't forget, students on a full-time (minimum 15 hrs per week for 1 yr) programme are entitled to work part-time (up to 20 hours per week during term and full-time during holidays).
Ireland has long excelled in the field of education - it is still known as the Island of Saints and Scholars. However, the fantastic social life, with an unrivalled live music and "pub" scene, along with a variety of sports, clubs, theatre, comedy and shopping - make our country a unique and unforgettable experience.Paris, Rome, Barcelona and London are only a couple of hours away and flights are extremely cheap when booked in advance. Irish people are renowned for their warmth and friendliness, and Irish culture - dancing, music, singing and story-telling - is still very much alive and kicking. We look forward to hearing from you. Go raibh maith agat (thank you).
