Overview
Academic Treks College, a division of Broadreach, offers unparalleled study abroad opportunities for college students. Backed by fifteen years of experience in running educational programs abroad, ATC combines the finest elements of experiential learning, traditional classroom learning, and service learning with international travel and cultural exchange to provide extraordinary expeditions and study abroad opportunities.

Students earn 3 credits in Natural Science through an experiential course which combines community service, traditional classroom learning, and cultural activities for an intensive experience.

El Zota Biological Field Station in the rainforests of Costa Rica provides the backdrop for the first half of the course, while the beautiful beachfront at the Institute for Tropical Ecology and Conservation in Isla Colon is our home for the second half of the course. Everywhere we go, students study a myriad of monkey species, animal rehabilitation, reforestation, and conservation.
