Within its narrow borders, a complete climatic range, from tropical to temperate, alpine to arctic can be found. Cultural diversity is celebrated by the country's population of 29 million, who speak as many as 30 different languages and dialects. The Himalaya Summer Passage takes place in Nepal but spans the culture of both Nepal as well as that of Tibet that thrives among the Tibetan people in exile. Eligibility Level: freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, pre-college Minimum age: 18 Average age: 18-22 Housing/Accommodation • Homestay / Host Family • Apartment / Flat Program Costs US$ 4,750 Costs Include:  The tuition fee covers all housing, food, permits, language training, lectures, group activity fees, independent study projects, and transportation for group excursions within Nepal during the program. It does not include the visa fee for Nepal, international travel to and from Nepal, airport departure tax, medical expenses, and personal expenses. Financial Aid Yes. Part of Passage’s mission is to offer opportunities to all interested students so we also offer financial aid in the form of reduced tuition, contingent on having at least five full paying students.
