Overview
Chez Madelaine Culinary Tours to France offers food and wine focused visits in groups of no more than 12 persons:
February: Foie Gras and Truffles tour to the Limousin. We stay in a private chateau, visit a foie gras fair and hold two cooking classes. Also included are two trips to Limoge, one to take a cooking class and lunch in a fine restaurant, the other to learn the history of Limoges porcelain.
June: Bordeaux Wine School. We spend a week of intensive study at the CIVB school learing the history and taste of France's largest and most renowned wine producting region. Two if these days are spent visiting chateaus in the Medoc and St. Emilion. The group stays in a nearby hotel and enjoys the restaurants of Bordeaux in the evening. One chef-taught cooking class is also included.
September: Provence Exploration. We rent a private residence from which we visit markets, cook regional meals, enjoy wine degustations of Rhone and Provencal varietals. This past year we also visited several private gardens.
